Systems Analyst HIM at Intermountain Health in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description: Remote but preference given to those living in immediate market of Utah or Nevada. Conceptualizes, designs, implements, supports and maintains assigned applications. Serves as a thought leader for assigned applications, OnBase, Solarity, and Epic Ambulatory for the Medical Group and Ambulatory Clinics. Implements, maintains and supports assigned applications, to meet the business needs of the Enterprise. Drive identification of requirements for OnBase and Solarity Document Management Workflows. Identify substandard processes through data analysis and present innovative solutions. Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports. Scope + Analyzes and documents user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems. Reviews system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. + Documents workflows, configure and/or build activities, change management adherence, end user notifications, training information and status reporting in the appropriate system. Develops, documents and revises system design procedures, test procedures, regulatory and quality standards. + Recommends workflow and application changes for improved quality, safety or efficiency and works through the necessary governance structure for approvals. + Develops and monitors controls to ensure appropriate availability and data integrity within applications assigned. + Performs and audits user provisioning for assigned applications for improved quality, safety or efficiency and works through the necessary governance structure for approvals. 6. Collaborates and monitors processes and works with vendor to ensure optimal quality and system performance Required: + Associates Degree in Health Information Management, computer science, healthcare administration required. + Two (2) years in Healthcare required, with technical experience and/or HIM experience required. Preferred: + Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, computer science, healthcare administration preferred. Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Health Information Technologist (RHIT) preferred. Physical Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: + Proficient computer skills necessary in order to perform the tasks required, including intermediate knowledge of databases and spreadsheet applications. + Advanced analytical skills in areas of health information workflow analysis, and planning combined with the ability to form meaningful conclusions and present complex data in an understandable format. + Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamentals of hospital organization and administration, and laws applicable to health information management. + Hands on operational experience working with physicians, clinical staff within an ambulatory care setting + Change management skills relating to IT applications and the development and completion of business requirements and health information documentation. + Skilled in information systems used within healthcare systems including building parameters, implementing, and designing interface requirements. + Experience in coordinating IT healthcare projects. + Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.
