The essential responsibilities of the Computer Software Specialist 4 will report to the Supervisor/ Manager. The essential job responsibilities include apply advanced level principles/ concepts in the analysis of information system requirements to determine software that will provide system capabilities required, extremely accountable for end results. Investigate most highly complex/ diversified requests for information system studies, determine their merit and recommend acceptance, rejection, or an alternate solution.

Qualification Requirements:To perform the Computer Software Specialist 4 role, you must: -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Systems or Business with a concentration in Information Technology or Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 hours college accredited programming in computer-related courses plus six (6) years of Division experience in database, computer hardware/ software, mainframe, networking, programming, or systems analysis skills depending on departmental need. Must meet proficiency requirements. -Must have a 3 rating for two (2) consecutive years as a Computer Software Specialist 3 or a 4 rating in last year as Computer Software Specialist 3. External candidates must have at least seven (7) years of equivalent experience and meet proficiency requirements.) -Must have a minimum of two (2) years' experience and be proficiency in one of the following major Data Base Management Operating utilities/ Screen Generators/ programming and/ or Data Communication Systems depending on expertise required. -Systems Programming: MQ-Series, VTAM, TCP/IP, SMP/E, TLMS, JCL Top Secret, Unix, Z/OS, LINUX, Appworx or Apache Server. System Engineer Administrator: Windows Server, Novell Netware, Storage Area Networks, Server Virtualization, Linux, Enterprise Backup Systems or Directory Services. Network Infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, gateways, etc.), Wireless Networking, Network Protocols, LAN/WAN Connectivity, Cisco Networking, Network Security Systems, DNS/DHCP, Virtual Networks or Network Design. -Applicable certifications might include CNA, CNE, MCP, MCSE and CCIE. Desktop Support: Windows Desktop operating system, Windows Group Policy Management, ZENWORKS Configuration Management, Group Wise, Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, TOAD, Unix, Linux, VMware View, desktop management, desktop virtualization, thin-client PCs, tablet/ mobile devices, central antivirus software management. Applicable certifications which might include A+ Certifications. Database: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IDMS, MySQL, RDBMS, OODBMS, XML DBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, database scripting languages, ArcGIS Spatial Database Engine (ArcSDE), Oracle Applications Database Administration, Oracle middleware, database-oriented middleware, job scheduling and workflow management systems. Web Development: HTML, Macromedia, Flash, Dream Weaver, Java EE, CGI, PERL, PHP, Authorware or XML, AJAX, CSS, ActionScript, FrontPage, SAML, SOAP, JavaScript, and MAVERN. Applications Programming: COBOL for MVS/LE, JCL, ADSO/O, C+, Visual Basic, ACCESS, Delphi, CableCAD, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Mobile, JTX Workflow Manager 9.3 or higher preferred, Visual Basic for .NET and/ or C Sharp for .NET, Pro C, MicroFocus COBOL, JAVA, SQL, PL/SQL, Business Objects, Oracle Developer 2000, Oracle Forms, Oracle Applications RI2 or higher, Oracle Discoverer, Banner, Business Intelligence, Crystal Reports, XML Publisher, Oracle Reports or other current programming languages, Objective- C, Cocoa API, Xcode, RIM, API, Data Integrator, ETL tools, Data Warehouse system administration/ support, data modeling, data extraction, and (Python a plus). Interactive Voice Response: Experience with IVR, Dual-Tone Multi-Frequency (DTMF) & Speech Recognition (Directed & Natural Language, i.e., vXML), Computer Telephony Integration (CTI), IVR call flow design and development, & voice user interface design (VUI). Demonstrated ability with Contact Center software such as: Genesys IVR/ Contact Center Solutions, Cisco IVR/ Unified Contact Center Solutions, IBM WebSphere Voice Response, Nuance, NICE, Avaya; workforce management software, such as Verint: and audio software tools, such as Audacity, Sound Forge or VLC. -Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.

Physical Working Conditions:

Works inside majority of the time. Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment. The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
