Responsibilities
Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California
, is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region's only Total Joint Center.
Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California
, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children's emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children's.
The Executive Assistant provides support for Senior Leadership Team and other members of the organization, allowing leaders to focus on business needs. Typical daily activities include typing, filing, scheduling, tracking and submitting expenses, contract support, coordination of meetings, travel and conferences, and special projects. Also responsible for answering non-routine correspondence and handling work of a confidential and sensitive nature. Deals with a diverse group of individuals, including board members, physicians, community business leaders and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications
1. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
•Computer literate
•Ability to type 60-75 wpm.
•Proficiency in dictation transcription/shorthand.
•Ability to operate a variety of business machines and equipment.
•Good oral and written communication skills.
2. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
•Minimum 5 years of experience as an administrative or executive assistant in a healthcare environment.
3. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
•High school education or equivalent formal education; Associates degree in Business/ Healthcare Administration preferred.
4. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
None.
5. WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Must work in a clean, well-lighted, well-ventilated work environment.
•Occasionally subject to irregular hours.
•Ability to function in a busy environment with shifting and evolving priorities.
•Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
•Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries.
•Stable emotional makeup required to work in fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
•Handles emergency and/or crisis situations.
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital management and medical staff personnel.
•Ability to maintain positive relationships and courteous interactions with hospital staff and the public.
•Other duties as assigned by CEO/COO or other Senior Team members.
