Internal Medicine Program Director Opening in South TexasOpening in Weslaco, TXCorpus Christi 150m, Laredo 170mFull TimePermanent PositionSeeking BC Internal Medicine Physician to serve as Internal Medicine Program Director in Weslaco, TexasOverview:- 3-5 years of clinical experience in Internal Medicine post-residency - Core faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency program- Minimum of 3 years of GME teaching/administrative experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director- Under the direction of the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), the Program Director will oversee the administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of the Internal Medicine Residency Program- This role establishes the programs strategic direction and upholds its standards, quality, and reputation- The Program Director will support integration with physician practices and hospital clinical services, fostering a high-value, quality-focused environment for both professional practice and medical education.Responsibilities:- Clinical teaching and supervision of residents- Core program clinical teaching- General program administration- Participation in GME committees and meetings- Leading GME lecturing and teaching conferences- Recruitment and interviewing for GME- Engaging in research and scholarly activity- Evaluating residents and monitoring their progress- Program evaluation and continuous improvement
