MUST:4+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail/outpatient settingExperience assisting patients on phone and in personExperience processing refillsMaintaining and ordering medications and suppliesCounting meds, creating labels and filling prescriptionsStrong computer skills and ability to verify insuranceExperience following up on rejected prescriptionsStrong customer service skillsComfortable working in a very fast paced environmentActive Pharm Tech license in the state of VAIf not certified in the state of Virginia must be nationally certified and willing to become state certified
DUTIES:The Pharmacy Technicians duties include but are not limited to the following:Greet patients in person and over the phone in a very high volume settingProcess prescriptionsVerify insuranceFollow up with insurance companies on rejected prescriptionsDocument patient information in computer systemProvide customer service supportCreate labels and process prescriptions*Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
