Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering services at the 90th Civil Engineer Squadron. This role involves engineering design, project management, facility and infrastructure assessments, and drafting/GIS services for F.E. Warren Air Force Base and its surrounding Missile Field complex.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform engineering design and project management for assigned design and construction projects. Conduct facility and infrastructure assessments to identify deficiencies for incorporation into Asset Management Plans. Provide programming and planning functions, including project scoping and estimating. Ensure planned and prioritized requirements comply with published business rules and document them effectively to advocate for resources at the Air Force Corporate Board. Incorporate assessment results into applicable databases and Sustainment Management Systems (SMS) on a regular basis. Lead and organize studies, designs, and construction projects, managing all processes and documentation. Negotiate effectively to accept and implement recommendations. Provide drafting and GIS services as required.
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited school. Completion of courses in differential and integral calculus, and advanced courses in at least five of the following areas: statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, electrical fields, properties of materials, optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly in the operations, maintenance, repair, and construction of infrastructure and facilities, including buildings, pavements, and utility systems. Strong ability to inspect and survey facilities, and incorporate findings into management plans and databases. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain positive working relationships.
