Standard Energy Solutions (SES) is a Maryland-based professional renewable energy solutions EPC that serves residential customers in a number of states throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. SES offers comprehensive design, engineering, installation and O&M service solutions for distributed solar, electrical load management and energy storage systems. Our team has the skill and experience necessary to assess the energy consumption of your home or business and develop actionable strategies to reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint, while improving the health, safety and comfort of the building structure.
Job ResponsibilitiesDesigning preliminary layouts and final permit packages based on the potential client’s needs and residential building specificationsPerforming project calculations, component sizing, and overall electrical design for residential solar PV systemsCreating drawings of proposed systems, including roof-top solar arrays, energy storage systems and ground-mounted solar arraysInterpreting and comparing different solar interconnection options based on existing site conditions.Coordinating with utilities and AHJ on project design, permitting, and executionUsing AutoCAD complete drawing sets in accordance with local AHJ requirementsComply with building codes, engineering practices, safety codes, regulatory codes, and NEC standardsCoordinating with other members of the engineering and sales team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that designs are feasible and compatible with the propertyComplete the assessment of new products and technologies.Qualifications Required4-year degree or equivalent practical experience, or other technical degree from an accredited college2+ years experience in the solar PV industry designing solar projectsRelevant Bachelor’s degree or completion of technical trade school in CAD, drafting, engineering, or related field may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretionAutoCAD proficiency in Engineering DraftingWorking knowledge of National Electrical CodeExcellent computer skills in Microsoft ExcelExceptionally organized, meticulous, and detail orientedProven ability to adapt and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsDisciplined in time management and deadline drivenSkilled in adapting to requirements of numerous, frequently changing project needsExperience developing and reading technical documents and construction documentSelf motivated with an ability to manage multiple objectives, while adhering to quality processes

Pay$60,000 - $90,000 annually
