Job Description:

Need at least 2 Mechanical Engineers to design, develop, integrate and release system, subsystem assemblies and corresponding components, and provisions for various systems and subsystems mechanisms, within motion control, fire control, and auxiliary systems.This department has a strong concentration in the field of gun/turret drives and race rings, a plethora of assorted weapon systems, its integration into various legacy and new platforms and design of its associated hardware/ ammunition handling or feed.Ability to design articulating, locking or sliding provisions to Human Factors requirementsMust possess CAD software experience, preferably Creo, UGNX, Visio, or SolidWorksAble to provide technical guidance with Design Services to create models, installation anddetailed drawings and provide technical support for concurrent engineeringAble to read technical drawings and perform tolerance stacks.Working knowledge of GD&T is a plus.Possess a working knowledge of FEA (ANSA, with Nastran and/or LS-DYNA solvers) is a plusAble to support procurement and on-site prototype build/integration activities and resolve issue(s)Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Required B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.5-7 years in a professional engineering role.Self-starter, highly motivatedPerform preliminary design and analysis derived from requirementsWork in an Integrated Product Team environment and be able to communicate across functional organizationsPerforming failure analysis & be able to provide technical direction for corrective action solutionsWrite technical reports & modification instructionsCAD modeling capability for generating feasible design conceptsA working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is requiredMust be able to work in office, shop, plant, test lab and test site environmentsMust be able to work overtime if requiredMust be able to travel if required
