Radiology Technician - Interventional Radiology TechnicianGermantown, MDPay From: $40 per hour
MUST:Experienced Radiologic Technologist2+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist1+ years of experience in general diagnostic, special procedures or cardiac catheterizationAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAssociates degree in science or successful completion of a formal educational program accepted by AARTBasic computer skillsExperience working in a surgical environmentExperience working in Interventional Radiology is a plus
DUTIES:Assist clinical team with patient and procedure room preparation and post-procedure clean-up, operating the C-Arm, scrub-in for procedures, clean and sterilize tools and equipmentPerforms and/or assists in all angiographic and interventional imaging procedures as well as myelography, arthrography and venographyMonitor and maintain adequate inventory of medical suppliesMaintain radiology safety-monitoring procedures and may serve as the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the center or Safety OfficerUtilizes physical assessment skills, monitoring devices (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, EKG), intravenous care and aseptic techniques in providing patient careAssist in scheduling patients for vascular access procedures and aid in transporting patients within the centerParticipates in multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teamsPerforms other duties as assigned
