Job Description for WETS Manufacturing Engineer /Tool Owner
JOB SUMMARY
This engineering position is for a Manufacturing Engineer / Tool Owner specifically for the WETS sector in the 300mm fab facility. This position is responsible for equipment installation and qualification, advanced process development, evaluation, and characterization targeting advanced semiconductor applications; thorough 300mm equipment and process qualification specific to front end of line (FEOL), middle of the line (MOL) and back end of the line (BEOL) WETS applications.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The primary responsibility for this position is the WETS sector, both in fab and lab environment. Expectations are to learn other sectors for example CMP/Plating/Films/etc. to provide backup for fellow peer engineers and to be well rounded.Maintaining and controlling various vendor tools to tight specifications dedicated by the needs of the technologies.Establish process specifications and control charts for tool monitoringWorking knowledge of SIVIEW (MES) to implement the building of routes for tool controls as well as building WSPC charts for tool monitoringThe tools will be controlled using SPC charts and Western Electric Rules.Learning various toolsets across multiple tooling vendorsMust be able to recover tool faults/failsIn addition, the engineer will manage technicians to support the fab for 24/7 coverage.Able to track and process lots on tools as needed for the business commitmentsResponsible for writing operational procedures (MPS) for each toolset/processResponsible for the backing up of tool parameters and process recipes at some set time intervalAble to train and certify operators to process these tools after releasing of the tool to OPSDevelop a good working relationship with all the FSE that support the tools.The applicant will need to work for tooling vendors and operations management daily.Time management is a must to work effectively between process support and equipment supportOther reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for WETS Manufacturing Engineer/Tool Owner
A.S. degree in Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent Engineering and/or Science discipline AND 5+ years of experience working in the semiconductor industry as a Process Development Engineer in one or more areas of WETS applications
OR
B.S./ M.S. degree in Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent Engineering and/or Science discipline AND 2+ years of experience working in the semiconductor industry as a Process Development Engineer in one or more areas of WETS applications.A good understanding of FEOL and BEOL semiconductor integration schemes, in addition to knowledge and experience in logic and memory device fabrication is required.Exhibit solid leadership ability, be familiar with SPC/DOE methodologies, and be willing to execute a variety of tasks on short notice.Applicant must be familiar with WETS chemistries and applications for a variety of chemistries.Applicant must have a foundation of process and equipment knowledge pertaining to WETS sectorGood program management and customer interface skills are essential. The successful applicant must be able to interface effectively with fab operations, process and semiconductor engineering professionals from client companies. Knowledge of MS Office, DOE, and yield/defectivity analysis software are strongly recommended.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

Level A- 2 to 5 years of experience $75,000-$100,000
Level B- 5+ years' experience $100,000-$125,000
