Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care to individuals with a variety of needs, including those with infectious diseases and dementia. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and a passion for working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and hygiene.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and other treatments as needed.
- Support patients with infectious diseases, including providing isolation care as necessary.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks to document patient information and track patient progress.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide exceptional patient service, including addressing patient concerns and providing emotional support.
- Assist with DME equipment setup and maintenance as needed.
- Work in various settings, including outpatient clinics and urgent care centers, with exposure to Level II Trauma Centers.
Skills:
- Experience in nursing care, preferably in an outpatient or urgent care setting.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks.
- Ability to provide patient service and support in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care and dementia care best practices.
- Familiarity with DME equipment and the ability to assist with setup and maintenance.
- Experience working in a clinic or urgent care center, with exposure to Level II Trauma Centers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
