Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health APRN with UofL Health

UofL Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient psychiatry services exclusively through Telehealth. This position will serve as part of a small team of behavioral health professionals. Must have experience providing psychiatric care. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) functions as a core member of a Collaborative Care team that includes the patients primary care provider (PCP) and a Mental Health Therapist. The PMHNP-BCs primary role is to guide Collaborative Care, which is a population health approach to treating patients. The PMHNP-BC provides telehealth assessment, management and outcome evaluation patients presenting at an outpatient ULP office. Thereafter, the PMHNP-BC works within the interdisciplinary model of care to develop and contribute to a treatment plan.
Candidates for this position may work fully remotely, including out of state, but must have or be eligible for Kentucky licensure.
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing behavioral healthcare to patients and families, focusing on mental health, substance abuse or co-occurring disorders, including disease management, patient/family education and counseling. Works under direct supervision of a physician following established guidelines as required and within established scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with specialty in Psychiatric-Mental Health.
- Current BCLS Certification.
- KY DEA is required
Experience: Minimum one-year of clinical experience as a Psychiatric Mental health Nurse Practitioner
