Adecco is currently assisting one of its clients in their search for a Demand Planner in Lincolnshire, IL!

Pay rate: $60/hr

Shift availability: Mon - Fri, 8a-5p (possibly 1 day WFH)

Manage all inventory aspects of assigned categories, including forecasting, vendor/inventory issues, product transitions, product launches and any other issues/projects that are supply chain related, as well as other duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate must have/must be able to

  • Forecasting inventory units for assigned key divisions, includes promotional forecasting and new item forecasting. Monitoring and adjusting forecasts based on sales trends. Identify inventory shortages and taking appropriate action to reduce risks of disrupting customer expectations.
  • Exceed forecasting goals by division, account for any shortfalls to goals. Identify overstock or understock because of forecasting misses and follow up with the Category Merchant and/or Demand Planner if needed.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planners to identify inventory issues, vendor issues, communicate large promotions, new item launches and seasonal preparations. This may include product/vendor transitions and working with the Staples Inventory Analysts as needed.
  • Collaborate with Quill Merchants to discuss any issues with inventory or vendors for their product lines, promotional strategy, reviewing items with Sold Out flags, seasonal challenges, and new item launches. Could include other special projects within the assigned divisions.
  • Improve Prime Fill Rate for assigned divisions, identifying deployment opportunities and request activation at the SKU/FC level based on sales trends to meet growing customer demand and lower transportation expense.
  • Manage JDA plan loads and FC deployment, adjusting when needed to ensure accurate deployment in the network.
  • Prepare post promotional analysis for accuracy, maintain accurate data being shared with Staples on the consolidated promotions report.
  • Lead assigned projects or tasks assigned by management where inventory/planning expertise is needed. Includes keeping the team updated on progress and sharing results when applicable, may include presenting results to leadership.
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or Operations Management preferred (or equivalent work experience)
Experience requirements:
  • 4+ years' experience in forecasting & inventory management
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts
  • Experience with JDA/MMS/WMS systems
  • Excellent analytical, written & verbal communication/interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks based on fluctuating deadlines while continually meeting due dates and maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a team or independently
  • Detail orientated
  • Quickly pick up on new processes and systems used to execute Quill forecast Planning processes

This role is On-Site; thus, open to candidates near/in/around Lincolnshire, IL!

Pay Details: $60.00 per hour
