My client is a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in integrated antibody discovery and development services. Their comprehensive suite of offerings spans the entire antibody discovery pipeline, including antibody lead generation and engineering, developability assessment, and pharmacological evaluation. They are dedicated to accelerating drug discovery and providing innovative solutions for their clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries.

My client is rapidly growing in the United States and hiring across their Business Development team. This role focuses on the East Coast territory.

Job Description

They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior/Manager of Business Development for their East Coast territory. This key role will focus on expanding their client base, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the life sciences sector, particularly in antibody discovery and development.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors on the East Coast.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to drive innovative service offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client objectives and aligning their services to meet their needs.
  • Conduct presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Work closely with scientific teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment between client expectations and project execution.
  • Provide client feedback to internal teams to drive service improvements and innovations.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Establish a robust network of industry contacts to promote the company's services.

The Successful Applicant
  • Advanced degree in Life Sciences or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry.
  • Deep understanding of antibody discovery and preclinical services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong network within the East Coast biotech and pharmaceutical community.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 30-50%).
