Position Summary : The Channel Development Manager will lead the growth of our sales channels in the Greater Chicago area while working closely with key managers and colleagues throughout Lenze and our Distribution network. The primary responsibility of this CDM will be to grow OEM and end user business in the area by developing accounts independently, with Distributors or Lenze Sales Engineers or any combination with the sales being through a Distributor. The CDM may have local Distributors to manage and also work with Distributors having territory in Chicago, though managed by other CDMs. The ideal candidate makes the best use of their individual skills and also exhibits a high degree of team selling skills and resource utilization.

Responsibilities:
- Identify, nurture, develop and grow end user and OEMs in conjunction with Distributor and Lenze personnel and resources
- Manage the development and growth of local distributors.
- Manage marketing activities and leads to identify and grow accounts.
- Evaluate existing channels partners for continued inclusion, identify new partners as may be appropriate
- Periodic and yearly business reviews and goal setting
- Training and training planning using appropriate resources.
- Key contact point for local Distributors for order management and other support needs using available resources
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related fields or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of commercial, industrial automation experience with proven hunter approach to growing sales and team selling skills.
- Distribution support includes demonstrating an understanding of how distributors work and their processes.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Collaborative and excellent communication skills
- Ability to travel as required
