JOB TITLE: Quality Control Manager (QCM)
COMPANY: Leisnoi Diversified Services, Inc.
LOCATION: Mountain Home, Idaho - Mountain Home AFB (17 Sites)
EMPLOYMEHT STATUS: Full-Time Regular
REPORTS TO: Project Manager
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Position Summary
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for managing the daily quality control (QC) responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project is administered in accordance with the established standards, and meets contractual specifications. The role includes direct oversight and review of the entire project from design to completion. The QCM works closely with project managers, superintendents, project engineers, the client's representative on site, and other key personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to:
Conducting the three phases of quality control, Preparatory, Initial and Follow-up) for each definable feature of work.
- Conducting performance and technical system in process (field sampling and analysis as well as laboratory analysis) audits during TO performance
- Providing identification of nonconformance situations to management, and recommendations for corrective action for all aspects of work that do not meet TO standards
- Preparation and submittal of all QA reports and documents to Leisnoi's President and senior management and, when required, appropriate Program and Project Managers
- Tracking QC data and ensuring adherence to published guidelines
- Implementing QA/QC procedures directly or through SOPs
- Assuring the continuity of chain of custody evidence
- Update As-built drawing daily, maintaining up-to-date set on site.
- Maintain a testing plan and log.
- Perform punch-out and participate in Pre-final and Final Acceptance Inspections. Submit list of deficiencies to the Project Manager for each inspection. Correct all deficiencies prior to the Final inspection. Notify Project Manager prior to final inspection to establish a schedule a date acceptable for the Owner.
- Participate in the Post Award Kick-off, Partnering, Preconstruction and Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meetings.
- Implement the "Three Phase of Control" plan.
- Ensure that no construction begins before the GSA has finalized the design for that segment of work, and construction submittals are approved as required.
- Inspect all work and rework, Ensures all work is in compliance with contract requirements (drawings and specs). Maintain a rework log.
- Immediately stop any segment of work, which does not comply with the contract requirements and direct the removal and replacement of any defective work.
- Prepare daily reports.
- Hold weekly QC meetings with the Superintendent and the Project Manager.
- QCM experience on a hazardous site remediation projects.
- Preferred to have completed the course entitled "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors" and maintain a current certificate.
- Familiar with Health and Safety Plans and safety compliance.
- Must possess and retain a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a Federal Background Check.
- Individuals must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of workday and capability to move within the field. There is a requirement to traverse multiple terrain types in outdoor weather conditions along with the ability to position self in a stoop, kneel, or crouch position. Individuals must be able to wear full construction PPE.
