The Senior Manager, Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This is a US Remote role.
Your Day to Day
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.
- Manage the company's cash flow, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing working capital.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management and control.
- Preparation of all government account requirements, such as annual incurred cost submission and forward pricing rates.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage monthly close process adhering to all corporate deadlines.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 12+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years progressive leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience in government agencies is a plus.
- Knowledge of FAR and CAS is a plus.
- Knowledge of SAP and/or Deltek Costpoint is preferred.
- Intermediate to expert Excel skills preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
