Our Manufacturing facilities make a difference by manufacturing orthopedic devices that help improve patients lives. From raw materials to finished products, our commitment to quality is demonstrated in every step of the process. The Ave Maria Quality Assurance Team is searching for a summer intern to help support in the day-to-day activities including Non-Conformance Report (NCRs), product hold disposition, sort form creation, document updates and routing. Our ideal candidate will have strong communication, documentation and computer skills, in addition to pursuing an engineering degree. This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Ave Maria, FL facility.Main Objective: To support the Manufacturing Quality Assurance team in various ways, while learning about medical device design processes and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with inspection plan updates and reviews. Provide support to the NCR process. Sort forms creations. Support change management activities (i.e. inspection plans). Support projects through data analysis.
Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s engineering degree required.(Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.) Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
