Basic Job Functions: We are seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our team and harness the power of data to fuel our company’s growth. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain innovative BI solutions that provide valuable financial and operational insights, enabling data-driven decisions across multiple departments. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping strategies and driving business success. As a key contributor, you will design and build data pipelines, models, dashboards, and reports that support critical decision-making across the product group and divisions. Additionally, you will ensure the performance, availability, and reliability of BI solutions, delivering a seamless user experience. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum five or more years BI experience developing data pipelines/ETLs, and building reports and dashboards Proven experience designing, developing, overseeing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data architectures and ETL workflows, ensuring data quality, integrity, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
Transitions developed solutions to customers and provide training as necessary Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing complex reports, dashboards, and analytics environments incorporating advanced features that enhance decision-making Skilled at troubleshooting complex data discrepancies, performance issues, and technical problems while efficiently sharing knowledge with others Ability to lead discussions with stakeholders, confidently presenting data-driven insights, project updates, and strategic recommendations Exhibits technical leadership through knowledge-sharing, peer reviews, and development of standards and best practices Ability to influence and drive Sprint team performance, lead BI solution release initiatives, and spearhead process improvements. Takes ownership of project-level direction toward strategic goals Proven track record of owning major initiatives from conception to completion with minimal oversight and mentoring teammates on best practices Challenges self and the team to produce high-quality code while maintaining an approachable demeanor that encourages open communication and knowledge-sharing Builds trust across teams and divisions Contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment and liaises with technical teams to ensure system integration with enterprise architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT/IS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or 5+ years of relevant experience Strong knowledge of analytics platforms in Databricks, Azure, data lakes, and Microsoft Fabric Proficiency in using Power BI, DAX and/or MDX expressions for complex data modeling and reporting Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including its underlying data entities Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, macros, and pivot tables
