Job Functions / Responsibilities Work closely with Purchasing, Engineering, Suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that all material arrives at the plants according to guidelines. Serve as a focal point for Materials' supplier management, monitor supplier quality, service, and delivery issues. Assist with the identification and disposition of surplus and obsolete material. This includes weekly Surplus and Obsolete (S&O) identification activities, analyzing exception reports and updating the database, initiating or recommending disposal options, and weekly reporting S&O identification/disposition activities Ownership of planning/ordering duties for a set of SKUs purchased from multiple sources ranging in spend value. Issue purchase and/or manual orders to suppliers to meet manufacturing schedules, maintain proper inventory levels, and navigate material planning issues. Develop and apply the skills used in Materials to coordinate engineering product changes. This includes Engineering Change Notice (ECN) review, maintenance of planning databases, supplier communication, and project closure. Coordinate special projects/programs as required. Host conference calls with internal and external personnel to resolve supply chain disruptions and EDI discrepancies. Communicate and escalate issues, information, and resolution to Materials Planner at the plant(s) and/or Corporate Commodity Manager, Directors, and Senior Leadership. Skills / Competencies Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, including the ability to balance multiple priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a team player and able to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience using the Access
