Our Georgia Water Group, based in Atlanta, is seeking a Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to join our growing team. Successful candidates will provide technical, management, and staff support for a variety of infrastructure-related projects, primarily focused on the design of water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and wastewater collection systems. This role is based in Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work schedule.
Your Role: Oversee project execution from conceptual planning through final plans, specifications, and bid packages. Provide technical design support for water distribution, water/wastewater treatment, and sanitary sewer collection systems. Maintain and develop client relationships, identifying new project opportunities. Ensure technical accuracy, uphold standard engineering practices, and document reports and designs as required. Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and collaborate with other disciplines. Provide construction support, including bid evaluations, plan clarifications, shop drawing reviews, progress report reviews, and change order assessments. Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications, and coordinate with the design team. Assess engineering problems independently, providing solutions to engineering discipline leads, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner. Achieve financial targets related to backlog, utilization, and invoicing. Mentor and manage technical staff.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. 8 years of relevant experience required. Professional Engineer (PE) in Civil or Environmental Engineering, licensed in Georgia or able to obtain licensure within 6 months. Proficiency in technical project execution and developing scopes of work for proposals. Strong communication, report writing, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with relevant codes and industry standards. Ability to travel periodically (approximately 15% or more).
