What you’ll be doing... This position is responsible for analyzing, recommending, approving and negotiating custom pricing proposals for standard solutions across an assigned set of large, strategic accounts with potential total contract values of $100M+. The Pricing Manager will also support complex renewals, as well as requests for significant contract terms and conditions modifications. They will perform in-depth financial modeling & risk analysis, and establish price points to ensure margins are aligned with business objectives.

Financial & Business Acumen

Performing detailed business case analysis via the ability to independently create a pricing evaluation (IDEA) model, and recommend, create and approve customer pricing for complex proposals

Evaluating and analyzing based on profitability, competition, market nuances, and account strategy

Ensuring all costs to support the deal are accurately captured and properly reflected in the financial model

Understanding the operation of underlying cost models and modify financial model as required

Ensuring DLM (Deal Lifecycle Management) & EMR (Executive Management Review) deliverables are completed in accordance with process guidelines

Negotiation

Acting as Verizon's lead negotiator and decision maker with regards to pricing on assigned deals.

Influencing or negotiating contracts with internal and external legal teams, customer executives and consultants

Understanding and quickly analyzing the impacts associated with changes to the technical solution and contract terms that are suggested during a negotiation and makes appropriate and well thought-out decisions

Communication

Preparing and presenting detailed financial briefings for internal teams as well as executive management, including discussion of RFP pricing requirements and evaluation criteria, competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics

Effectively communicate pricing and any custom terms & conditions to internal stakeholders and customers as required

Creating and issuing Approval Notes

Collaboration

Working closely with key stakeholders (Sales, Billing and Contract Assurance, Legal, Tax, Regulatory) to ensure the cost/price proposal is compliant, accurate, competitive and profitable

Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve processes

Compliance

Maintaining accuracy of deal financials in Smartsheets as appropriate

Ensuring adherence with EMR and CPS103 processes and obligations

Complying with CPE NDP, Capital, and other guidelines as appropriate

What we’re looking for.. You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years financial analysis, pricing and/or equivalent experience.

Experience with contract negotiations, pricing, and purchasing.

Ability to use advanced expertise to resolve diverse/complex problems

Matters typically lack precedent or standards; Can receive broad guidance and be accountable for results

Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills; ability to make sound business decisions quickly under pressure

Superior communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with customers, senior leaders and employees of all levels.

Self motivated and able to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel;

Even better if you have:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field like Business, Finance, or Economics.

Master’s degree – ideally an MBA.

Advanced analytical skills. And you are a wiz at Excel.

Where you’ll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.
