802 Delaware Avenue (18052), United States of America, Wilmington, DelawareNetwork Platform Engineer (Bank Tech) The Platform Engineer role will require the ability to perform a diverse array of intermediate technical work. Seeking an associate with deep network and wireless knowledge and experience, who can multitask and think intuitively. Candidates should be flexible and able to implore time management and project management skills, as well as have strong troubleshooting abilities. The primary responsibility of this position is supporting Capital One Branch and Cafe network and wireless environments. The position is also responsible for some Branch desktop support, voice support and general IT support. Other responsibilities include using network monitoring tools and utilities for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and incident response. Areas of focus include routing, switching, network security, and Cisco wireless hardware and software. Ability to communicate and foster collaboration in IT and business areas, as well as build relationships with business partners and other support teams is critical. This position may require working weekends occasionally and participating on a rotating on-call schedule to support 24/7 operations when branches and cafes are open.
General Responsibilities:
Provide guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on user questions, problems or malfunctions of Branch and Cafe networks, hardware, software and wireless equipmentProactively, identify and address issues utilizing provided toolsPerform daily monitoring, updating and closing of incident ticketsEscalate issues as needed and maintain communication with the customer, technical teams and Vendors within the established service level agreementsInform management of potential problems and identifies problem trendsCreate and maintain support documentation and training materialsImplement new strategies or procedures when requiredAssist with Installs, configure and upgrade device hardware and software as neededAny other duties and special projects as assignedExcellent oral and written communication skillsThe person we are looking for:
