The TRC Climate Risk and Resilience team, embedded within the larger Sustainability Platform, works with agencies, corporations, energy companies, financial institutions, and governments as they envision and prepare for the future. As a climate expert within the TRC team, you will help to grow our teams service lines and identify and build transformational offerings for our clients as they relate to climate change. Our group has traditionally encouraged and supported our team member's professional growth, including certifications and conference attendance.This position involves working with clients to support their TCFD- and TNFD-aligned assessments in climate-related financial disclosures. Additional activities may include working with the team honing our go-to-market strategy, supporting our CSRD efforts, and exploring nature-based solution opportunities. This position draws upon analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to effective management, general strategy, policy, and regulatory consulting. The role requires strong communications with clients and coworkers, including exceptional writing skills. You will contribute to and lead projects that benefit our client's goals and objectives.Responsibilities
Leading strategic client engagements around climate risk management, resilience strategy and TCFD disclosureIdentifying and evaluating opportunities to reduce physical and transition risks and enhance sustainability and resilienceAdvising on TCFD alignment, implementation, scenario analysis, and methods to integrate climate considerations entity-wideManaging business development activities with existing and prospective clients.Preparing and presenting strategic climate analysis, reports, and other documents for internal and/or external client use.Supporting clients in developing sustainability reporting (such as CDP, TCFD, ESG etc.) for climate-related financial disclosures.Mentoring junior staff and supporting their professional developmentSupporting the Director in maintaining a strong inclusive work cultureDirecting team members to support the development of climate change solutions to meet client needs.Qualifications
Technical proficiency in climate change, infrastructure resiliency and sustainability, preferably for clients in New England or Northeast public sector markets.10 to 15 years of environmental consulting experience with primary focus in climate change, resiliency and sustainabilityDemonstrable knowledge of best practices in climate-related financial risk disclosures and in the climate regulatory spaceUnderstanding and experience in TCFD, TNFD, and nature-based solutionsProven ability to manage projects and mentor staff to promote staff development and organic growth.Client-focused approach to consulting and track record of creating new clients and opportunities, as well as maintain and growing existing client relationships.Demonstrates excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of scientific principles.Strong sense of responsibility and work ethic.Strong quality assurance/quality control skills to perform technical, style and consistency reviews.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Benefits * :
