Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)

In this role you primarily deliver and collect packages along designated routes in suburban and rural areas. You may be required to provide your own personal vehicle to use for package and mail delivery. As an ARC you may be hired to provide mail and parcel delivery service on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (a weekend and holiday only position) or provide parcel delivery up to seven (7) days of the week. If you enjoy working outdoors, this may be a great fit for you. Job duties include: Sort, lift and push moderate to heavy loads of mail and packages to prepare for delivery Deliver mail along your assigned route Pick up or collect mail from customers Work indoors and outdoors in all weather: rain, snow, cold and heat Employment Requirements: 18 years old at the time of appointment or 16 years old with a high school diploma United States citizen, permanent resident, or citizen of American Samoa or other U.S. territory Recent employment history Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and medical assessment Residency requirement for background checks (at least five years in the USA) Safe driving record if applicable to the position (at least two years of experience driving in the USA) Must be registered with Selective Service if applicable (www.sss.gov)
