Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4pm About the Role: As a
Shipping Lead
at
Vomela , you'll play a key role in our outbound operations, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with customer and client requirements. You'll be responsible for overseeing the shipping department, handling inventory, and ensuring that our products reach our customers without delay. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator who enjoys working with a team to meet tight deadlines. What You'll Do: Ensure all outbound shipments are processed according to client and customer specifications. Oversee the loading, packing, and shipping of products, ensuring shipments match the pick ticket and are labeled correctly. Supervise the team and prioritize daily shipping operations to meet production deadlines. Work with the Warehouse Management System to track and ship orders. Ensure that all safety protocols and company procedures are followed in the shipping process. Handle customer shipments, including consolidating shipment requirements and ensuring proper labeling and packaging. Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying the contents of shipments and resolving discrepancies. Manage the creation and completion of shipping documents (Bill of Lading, invoices, etc.). Conduct routine checks to ensure all equipment is well-maintained and the work area is safe and clean. Assist with back-order paperwork and track any outstanding shipments. Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor or management. What You'll Bring: Previous experience
in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (shipping department experience a plus). Ability to
operate and handle shipping software . Ability to
operate Hand Pallet Jack. Ability to
receive and process incoming shipments
per our protocols to ensure accuracy. Ability to
type 30 WPM. Fork Lift certified
or willing to be certified . Strong
attention to detail
and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. A
'can-do' attitude
with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Ability to
lift up to 50 lbs. , walk, stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions (dust, noise, heat, etc.). Basic
computer skills
and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. ERP systems knowledge
preferred but not required. Good verbal and written
communication skills ; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
