Step into an exciting role with 24/7 Pediatric Hospitalist coverage and flexible scheduling in the Pittsburgh suburbs. You will have manageable call volumes averaging just 2-5 patients daily, your work will be both engaging and fulfilling. Plus, we offer comprehensive travel support, including mileage reimbursement, airfare, lodging, and more, so you can focus on what you do best!
Flexible Scheduling:
Expect 5-7 varied shifts each month, based on what our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) pick up.
Types of Calls:
In-House support and beeper calls for urgent needs.Call Volume:
Average Daily Census (ADC) of 2-5 manageable and engaging!Responsibilities:
Round on babies in the unit, be available for emergencies & deliveriesHandle procedures such as circumcisions, intubations, and managing arterial, central, and umbilical linesMay be called for ED consults, but admissions will be handled by ED physiciansPremature babies are transferred to CHP or MWHRequirements:Board Certified in PediatricsNRP certification required, PALS not required but is a plusActive Pennsylvania state licenseCollaboration & SupportEmergency Department Involvement:Support for ED consults; admissions handled by ED physicians.Where to Transfer Premature Babies?Options include CHP or MWH be a crucial part of their journey!The area offers a vibrant blend of urban convenience and suburban charm, featuring beautiful homes, top-notch schools, and a strong sense of community.
