Business Development Manager - Builders
This is a national role, and the ideal candidate can be located anywhere in the United States, preferably in the eastern or central time zones.
The Business Development - Builders (100% Business Development) will be responsible for developing new business by working to have ADI products and solutions specified by the Builder and purchased by their Trade Partners. This position is not eligible for US visa sponsorship.
In this role, you will be responsible for revenue generation from Builders, while also managing support functions essential to sales productivity. These include process implementation, planning, reporting, sales program adherence, and achieving revenue goals set by management.Identify, develop, and cultivate new business opportunities, maximizing ADI presence and market share by promoting ADI's Exclusive brands, and Distributed brands to Builders.Promote standardization of products to the Builders and leverage this with the Trade Partners to encourage they only buy through ADI.Develop key customer relationships, define, and execute sales and growth strategy, while aligning with critical sales business objectives.Actively engage with ADI supplier partners to develop a national go-to-market strategy.Team with ADI Strategic Sales team to capitalize on revenue and enhance customer relationships.Function as an escalation point and advocate for critical customer issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and client retention.Support national sales team as our Builders subject matter expert, demonstrating market knowledge and competitive knowledge opportunities.Work cross-functionally within ADI's departments such as Legal, Operations, Finance, Marketing and Sales.Develop procedures for our teams to follow to maximize revenue and minimize risk.Drive continuous improvement and lead change in a premiere Sales Organization.MUST HAVE:
5+ years selling to Builders.Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work within multiple teams.Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.Travel 50%WE VALUE:
Excellent communication and presentation skillsStrong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.Strong listening and attention to detail skills.Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales objectivesSolid MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to demonstrate a high level of ownership, work well with little to no supervision, results-driven, self-motivated.A background in Security, A/V or Datacom product sales.Experience using Salesforce.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:
