We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong General Ledger experience to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant supports the financial operations of the organization by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end processes. They ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and ReconciliationPrepare and maintain general ledger accounts.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements and other financial data.Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
Accounts Payable and ReceivableProcess invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and promptly.Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
Month-End and Year-End CloseAssist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.Post journal entries and adjust entries as needed.
Compliance and AuditingEnsure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.Budgeting and ForecastingSupport budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and analysis.Assist in variance analysis and identifying trends.Other DutiesMaintain organized and updated financial records.Contribute to process improvements in the accounting department.Support other accounting or administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:1-3 years of accounting experience (internships or full-time positions).Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Quickbooks or other large ERP system) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel proficiency is essential).
Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Certifications (Preferred):CPA, CMA, or other relevant certifications (may be required for senior-level positions).
Work Environment:Office setting, with occasional overtime required during peak periods such as month-end, quarter-end, or year-end close.
