ASRC Federal System Solutions, LLC. (AFSS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. AFSS is seeking a Senior System Administrator in Colorado Springs, CO to support the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) program.
Key Role:
Perform as a Windows/Red Hat/Linux Systems Administrator for a large classified government contract.
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, hardware, and system engineers, end users, and
customer and IT management.
Support multiple networks.
Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring,
problem resolution, and configuration management.
Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis.
Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components.
Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions.
Maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Officer
(ISSO).
Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
Systems Administration experience with Windows, Solaris, Red Hat, or Linux. Operating systems/platforms to include the ability to build and STIG servers.
Typical education and experience: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience or Additional experience in lieu of degree.
Active Secret clearance required.
Current Security + CE.
Experience using Active Directory to create users and security groups.
Experience implementing and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
Experience applying DISA STIGS.
Experience using RHEL Identity Management (IdM)/FreeIPA to create users and security groups.
Experience using Ansible Automation Platform (Tower) to execute Ansible playbooks.
Experience creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks.
Experience working in a VMware virtualized architecture, including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
Experience creating, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines.
Experience supporting a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) implementation and associated tools such as Artifactory, Gitlab, and Grafana.
Experience using containers; Docker & Podman.
Understanding basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
Creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system
Red Hat/Linux Operating System certification for current versions.
Rudimentary Scripting.
Experience with Certification & Accreditation process.
DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco).
