This role will support the NYPA Data Governance Program - focusing on enabling data stewardship, improving the quality of our data assets, increasing data security and protection, simplifying data integration, and establishing better audit trails on data usage at NYPA.
Job Functions & Responsibilities• Conduct data discovery stakeholder interview and workshops to collect business data processes with business and IT stakeholders. • Identify data sets, develop data flows, understand data-related processes, and identify key data issues within business areas. • Create Data Discovery metrics & presentation. • Onboard and operationalize Business Glossary into Collibra, the Data Governance tool. • Facilitate business with dataset onboarding and report certification in Collibra. • Support the Data Governance Lead to integrate data governance solutions. • Liaison with key stakeholders on DG initiatives within their lines of business. • This role will also be responsible for some reporting (Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, etc.)
Skills• Working experience in Data Governance or Data Management area. • Strong knowledge of Data Governance & Quality - policies, processes, and tools. • Strong presentation & communication skills are required. • Advanced Excel skills, Power BI, and able to create reports / dashboards for senior leaders. • Working in Agile environments.
Education & Certifications
Undergraduate degree is required. Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Data Governance or Data Management.
