We're looking for an amazingStaff Accountant. This is a hybrid, in-office role based in our Santa Clarita, CA. office.You'llbe responsible forsupporting HAP Alaska / Yukon land operations by performing intermediate accounting activities related to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledgerand the resultant managerial reports and financial statements, preparing analysis,calculations and reconciliations of a variety of financial documentsin preparation of financial close. This person will alsocarry out staff level responsibilitiesin accordance with the company's policies,objectives and applicable government laws and regulations.

Responsibilities Participates in monthly and quarter-end close activities including analysis for journal entry preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepares complex journal entries (debit and credits), as well as miscellaneous entries or adjustments, to record operation revenue and related costs. Provides timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and supports documentation with focus on operational efficiencies and GAAP compliance on a monthly basis. Answers accounting procedure questions from operations by researching and interpreting corporate accounting policies. Trains operation staff on accounting procedures and system use. Reviews financial information and conducts sales audits of various forms of payment against source documentation. Assists in gathering information for various internal and external audits. Requirements High School completion or equivalent required. This job requires a professional level of knowledge inaccounting equivalent to that which would beacquired through the completion of aBachelor's degree, Finance or Accounting majors preferred.Directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. Minimum of two years related experience inAccounting orFinancerequired. Proficiency in the use of computer business applications including MicrosoftOffice, Excel isa must. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including working beyond normal business hours to support business needs,projects or operations. Knowledge,Skills and Abilities Ability topartner with individuals across all levels. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees,management and customers. Ability to organize work, meet deadlines,possess an attention to detail and accuracy while working in a teamor groupenvironment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task inafast-paced environment. Excellent organizationaland communication skills. Demonstrate an ability tomaintain confidentiality. Ability to support andcomply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support andcomply with company health and safety standards.
