Unit highlights:- Unit is very flexible with time-off requests and scheduling. Management does above and beyond to accommodate- Phenomenal call program - 2-4 weeknight call shifts per schedule (4 weeks) and 1-2 weekends per schedule (4 weeks). What makes our call a little different compared to different organizations is that no call shift is ever longer than 12-hours. Weekend call is either Friday and Saturday night only OR Saturday and Sunday during the day only. Staff seem to really like that because it doesn’t take away your entire weekend when on call.- Feedback from previous travelers: Management is great and overall team dynamic and work environment is very positive compared to other CVORs.Job Requirements
- Required: At least 1 year of CVOR RN experience and strong vascular/thoracic OR- Previous travel experience required- Call requirements: 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule- Adult cardiac surgery patients, vascular, and thoracic, complex and high acuity patients:-- Cardiac (Aortic Aneurysm Repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, Heart Transplant, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices, etc.)-- Thoracic (VATS Wedge Resection, VATS/Open Lobectomy, Esophagectomy, Bronchoscopy, EGD, Mediastinal Mass Removal, Lung Transplant, Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair, etc.)-- Vascular (AAA, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistulas, Fem-distal bypass, Fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, Vein stripping/ablation, etc.)- Flu vaccination required by 12/1/24 - NO EXEMPTIONS ALLOWEDSchedule Information
- Shift: D/E Rotating 2x8s and 2x12s from 06:30-14:30/14:30-22:30 and 06:30-18:30/10:30-22:30- Option for D/E Rotating 5x8s as well 06:30-14:30/14:30-22:30*Shift rotation is required
