A Home Health Physical Therapist, or Home Health PT, travels to a patient's home to administer services and help the individual maintain their independence while they safely heal at home.
What does a Home Health Physical Therapist do?
A Home Health Physical Therapist provides a thorough assessment of the patient's condition and works with the individual and their caregivers to build a goals-focused treatment plan.
What are the qualifications for a Home Health Physical Therapist?Florida Physical Therapy License (Required)CPR Certification (Preferred)Ability to delegate care appropriately and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (Preferred)Do you need home health care experience to be a Home Health Physical Therapist?
Previous home health experience is not required. Ask us about our mentorship program, where you will gain experiential training under the supervision of an enthusiastic role model.
Do Home Health Physical Therapists work alone?
Home Health Physical Therapists are autonomous, but they are not alone. Along with exceptionally supportive clinical supervisors, Home Health Physical Therapists are also a vital part of the collaborative clinical team.
