Job Summary
We are looking for a
Senior Construction Scheduler
with extensive experience in managing and coordinating schedules for large commercial construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules that ensure seamless execution and timely delivery. You will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and subcontractors to align schedules with project goals and identify potential risks or delays.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project schedules for large commercial construction projects using software like Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.Collaborate with project teams to establish critical path activities and project milestones.Perform regular updates and maintain the master project schedule to reflect progress and changes.Analyze schedule impacts caused by design changes, resource allocation, or unforeseen challenges.Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on project timelines to key stakeholders.Ensure integration of subcontractor schedules with the master schedule.Proactively identify and resolve schedule conflicts or potential delays.Present detailed schedule analysis and progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction scheduling, specifically in large commercial projects.Expertise in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and resource management for large commercial projects.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Proven ability to collaborate with diverse project teams and effectively communicate complex scheduling concepts.Preferred:
Experience with projects valued at $50M+ or higher.Professional certifications such as PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) or PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional).Proficiency in cost and resource-loaded scheduling.Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and risk analysis techniques.
