Description:We are seeking a detail oriented and collaborative Event Booking Specialist to join the team at the Pappas Restaurants Main Office in Northwest Houston. The Event Booking Specialist will serve as a Pappas brand ambassador for potential banquet guests. They will eagerly and professionally communicate private event options, availability, and coordinate event details in coordination with the restaurant
Responsibilities• Fulfills incoming inquiry calls and emails for assigned locations.• Completes all leads and event tasks using booking system and procedures.• Manages all events for assigned locations.• Schedules reservations using the seating system for your assigned locations.• Ensures all phone or website inquiries are followed up with accurately, and in a timely and professional manner.• Builds strong and lasting relationships and takes responsibility for all guests.• Communicates effectively with restaurant managers (and GMs) to ensure successful events.• Uses suggestive selling techniques and upsell to meet and exceed Guest expectations.• Fulfills incoming inquiry calls and emails for assigned locations.• Completes other tasks and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:• 2 years of experience in a promoted Pappas position, such as Banquet Server, OA or Supervisor (high volume experience preferred).• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook.• Positive and professional attitude• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Exceptional attention to detail• Strong knowledge and understanding of Pappas Restaurants operations and menus.• Professional and effective presentation skills• Strong understanding and aptitude for operating computer database systems• Fast learner and willingness to take on new assignments.• Strong team player and ability to adapt to change quickly.• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines as necessary.• External experience working in reservation and booking software may be considered in lieu of Pappas operational knowledge.
