Metro Dermatology is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, bi/multi-lingual, career-minded, and experienced medical assistants to join our dynamic and fast-paced team at our Flushing location, 144-72 Northern Boulevard, Suite 203. Metro Dermatology of NY/NJ is a high-volume and rapidly growing medical and aesthetic dermatology practice, serving diverse communities in the Bronx, Flushing, Elmhurst, and Fort Lee, NJ. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in the Practice's competitive health, dental, and vision plans within thirty days of start date
Responsibilities include:Assisting providers with procedures and surgeries, phlebotomy, prescriptions, and maintaining efficient patient flow.Assisting patients with laser and phototherapy treatmentsCommunicating with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies to assist with any questions, prescription inquiries, and prior authorizations.Triaging and collecting patient histories, charting and completing documentation, prepping and maintaining sterile examination and operating rooms, and restocking and ordering supplies as needed.REQUIREMENTS:-
MUST have an associate's degree or higher- STRONGLY RECOMMEND that staff be vaccinated against COVID-19, including boosters and new vaccines- MUST BE BILINGUAL in English and Spanish

fluency in other languages is a plus- MUST be able to work at least one Saturday shift per month (8:45 am to 1 pm), non-negotiable- MUST be able to start early (7:45 am) or stay late (5 pm)- LPN or RN license helpful- Prior experience in a dermatology office preferredTime CommitmentFull-time applicants who can commit to at least two years of work preferred. Part-time positions may be available for exceptional candidates.
