FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTANT

Title: FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTANT Location: United States-Virginia-Virginia Beach Job Number: 24000413 Job Summary: Process projects and equipment into depreciation status in Lawson Duties and Responsibilities: Add completed building projects improvements and equipment purchases into the fixed asset system. Analyze and adjust project costs and accruals as they occur in the work in progress WIP accounts. Process projects for disposal and transfer per request. Review quarterly Donated Capital reports and reconcile variances. Document fixed asset transaction summaries quarterly into Rollforward spreadsheet. Analyze Fixed Asset system and Activity Management system reports for variances and prepare adjustments as needed. Create journal entries for general ledger corrections. Create process and release project miscellaneous entries to the activity cost AC system. Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications: A four-year bachelor s degree in accounting or a related field. OR 4 years of experience performing work that allowed the applicant to gain general knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and provided experience in gathering and analyzing data reconciling accounts and analyzing problems to identify solutions.
