This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
4 weeks of training, Training will be onsite. The schedule for all four weeks will be 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, CST

Primary Responsibilities:
Reviews electronic chart documentation ensuring correct patient, location, and no duplicate information.
Processes release of information (ROI) requests.
Manages requests for documentation and information.
Scans and edits documents in the electronic medical record.
Locates, logs, retrieves, files, and delivers medical records stored in various mediums and systems.
May train and mentor co-workers.
Analyzes documentation and tracks completion to meet regulatory requirements.
Promotes principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability.
Work with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets) and Outlook (email and calendar management)
Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
Must be 18 years of age OR older
1+ years of Customer Service experience within a hospital or healthcare environment
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Ability to work 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday – Friday CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to travel between local healthcare facilities
Must live within a commutable distance from 2925 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55407
Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
A clerical or administrative support background
2+ years of customer service experience
Experience working in a call center
RHIT or RHIA certification
Bilingual - English/Spanish
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of federal and state programs that will benefit coverage for clients
Previous experience communicating with patients & staff with various educational & socio-economic backgrounds
Telecommuting Requirements:
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

The hourly range for this role is $16.54 to $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
