GDIT is currently pursuing qualified candidates in support of a USSOCOM Specialty Services contract. USSOCOM has a requirement to provide enterprise-wide information technology service and distribution to USSOCOM and all of its respective components and Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs) through a more modern, flexible, scalable, performance-based service management and delivery framework known as Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contracts (SITEC).

Responsibilities

As an intermediate systems administrator/network technician, performs installation of information/network systems equipment in remote locations. Includes regular local travel via government vehicle. Plan and coordinate installs of new computer and network equipment and technologies. Provide support for information systems and network systems in remote locations, as well as local support. Works with other systems and network professionals as required to coordinate efforts, and resolve cross-team issues and communicate changes. Conducts site surveys in remote locations to facilitate the installation of information and network systems. Local travel 3-4 times per week; with government vehicle.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

MCP or equivalent preferred

CCNA required

DODD 8570 compliant I.E. Sec+ required

Able to work Independently with little to no supervision

Competent to work at a technical level on all phases of systems administration activities

Excellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through

Anticipates questions and is prepared with answers

Intermediate understanding of Windows Server/Client administration

Must be a consummate professional in both demeanor and attire (Business Casual)

Able to create and maintain network diagrams

Excellent cable management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory and Permission Groups

Intermediate understanding of networking and ability to troubleshoot

Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

ITIL v3 Foundation certification

Network + Security + MCP

CCNA

Security Requirements

Must have a Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance

Physical Demands

Lift over 35 LBS

Associates Degree or equivalent experience (3+ yrs experience as a network administrator)

The likely salary range for this position is $106,250 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
