Description of Work Unit
The Department of Computer Science has approximately 1200 undergraduate majors (on campus and online) and 190 graduate students in our masters and Ph.D. programs as of Fall 2023. The department has experienced a 119% increase in women undergraduate computer science students and a 100% increase in women graduate students, supported by a Northeastern Center for Inclusive Computing best practices grant. The department’s 21 tenure-track faculty conduct state-of-the-art research in topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, distributed systems, and parallel and scientific computing, and engage in interdisciplinary research across the university. The Department of Computer Science also has 10 non-tenure track faculty members who assist with the department’s teaching mission and 15 staff members who support the department’s overall teaching and research missions. Position Summary
The Department of Computer Science seeks applications from individuals who are interested in obtaining postdoctoral research experience in the area of artificial intelligence.
Individuals in these positions are expected to conduct a program of research in collaboration with one or more faculty members in the Department of Computer Science. Applicants should identify faculty member(s) of interest for collaboration. A detailed description of the department and information on specific faculty research programs are available on the department website athttps://compsci.colostate.edu/.
The open positions are temporary assignments. Annual terms and reappointment may depend on performance and/or the continued availability of funding.
