Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

Purpose/Objective:
Originates quality residential mortgage loans under a variety of programs by establishing a solid referral base. Cross sells the Banks products and lending services to the community during and after traditional banking hours, and at off-site locations.
Key Accountabilities:
Maintains a network of outside & inside referral sources, including individuals and organizations likely to produce mortgage referrals such as real estate brokers, attorneys, accountants, builders, financial planners and other business professionals. Promotes the Banks residential products by maintaining regular contact with referral sources to generate new mortgage business.
Originates mortgage loans, pre-qualifies borrowers, counsels prospective buyers to determine needs and match with appropriate Bank program. Ensures quality and timeliness of mortgage application documentation. Follows up with applicants for information as needed.
Continuously monitors personal pipeline, manages expected closing dates, provides timely and accurate information to borrowers, closing agents, real estate brokers and appraisers to minimize customer service issues and provide overall quality customer service.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Banks mortgage and other company products and services; maintains general knowledge of mortgage industry, including maintaining an in-depth knowledge of state and federal mortgage laws and regulations.
Plans, coordinates and participates in activities that promote homeownership, including homebuyer seminars, home shows, brokers meetings and other home financing workshops. Maintains community involvement by serving on boards of organizations in relevant, Bank-approved areas to positively represent the Bank in the local community.
Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by ones duties.
Must be eligible to be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry for purposes of SAFE Act.
Education:
High school diploma
Some college preferred
Experience:
3 years residential lending sales experience
Knowledge of secondary market experience
Skills & Knowledge:
Superior sales skills
Knowledge of laws pertaining to mortgages
Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal/written) skills
Basic computer skills
