Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular - Travel - (Cardio - CVICU RN)

SIMPLIFI CLINICAL INTERVIEWSGeneral InformationBeds: 6Experience: 2 years of Critical Care (Cardiac preferred)Will you accept a first-time traveler? YesPatient Types:Cardiac: Post CABG – 24/48 hr. post op, Pacemaker insertion, VADs, Post Cardiac Cath (radial and femoral approach), Fem Pop Bypass, Post MI, CHF, Chest Pain r/o, STEMI, NSTEMIVascular: AAA repair, lower limb vascular procedures, amputations as a result of vascular insufficiencyGeneral ICU (Med/Surg) overflowPatient Ratios:1:1-1:3 (acuity dependent)Required Certifications:BLSACLSCPI/MOABSkills required:Cardiac and Vasoactive drip management, Vent and Bipap Management, Chest tube management, Cardiac rhythm interpretationTR band experience (preferred); IABP (preferred)Cath Lab team pulls femoral sheathsCRRT – not provided at this facility at this timeSupport on the Unit:CNA/HUC (Ratio: 1:6) – staffing dependent and not always availableCharge nurse: 24/7 – takes patientsPhlebotomy – peripheral blood draws onlyHouse Supervisor, 24/7RT, 24/7Intensivist, 24/7 in houseTelemetry monitoring: Central and BedsideTechnology/Equipment:EMR: EPIC (strongly preferred)IV pumps: AlarisMedication dispensing: OmnicellMonitors: SpacelabsFloating: If yes, where?General ICUPCCU (optional)ED Holding (optional)Orientation: (facility and unit)1-2 NEO orientation – includes EPIC test1 shift in ICUScheduling:Weekend rotation: every otherRequired call?
