Systems Engineer

Responsibilities Included but are not limited to
:
Using CloudFormation and lambda to automate processes for creating private workforces within SageMaker
Develop solutions to deploy AWS Configurations
Creating and maintaining detailed system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and change management logs.
Creating, implementing, and maintaining IAM Policies, Roles, Permission Boundaries, and SCPs across multiple AWS Organizations.
Created Saltstack states, grains, and pillars to establish and maintain configuration management, meet performance benchmarks, and enforce security compliance.
Code in scripting languages (Bash, Python) to facilitate automation across all AWS environments.
Facilitate the identification and prioritization of new AWS services to release in a large-scale AWS environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
A bachelor’s degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related professional engineering discipline for an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Experience with planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
Experience working on a cross functional team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Twenty (20) years’ experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Experience utilizing a gamut of AWS services to include EC2, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, S3, CloudTrail, CloudShell, IAM, AWS Config, Lambda, Route53, VPC and more.
Experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux Desktop and Server issues in a cloud environment.
Experience developing architectural/design documents and use cases.
Working knowledge of AWS, Docker, Git CI/CD
Experience utilizing CloudWatch to identify performance issues with systems.
Experience integrating applications with cloud databases such as AWS RDS and AWS DynamoDB.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Must be a US Citizen
Physical Requirements:
The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer’s desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
