SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center has an exciting opportunity to join the team as an Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant at our Level 2 Trauma Center. The Physician Assistant performs common orthopedic procedures, such as reductions, splinting, traction, assist in OR, and suturing. Other duties include rounding, consults, admitting, and discharging patients. They will communicate with other specialists, answering calls/texts, and messages. The PA works in both inpatient and clinic areas. The PA team rotates taking home call and are not in house 24/7. Response to call within 30 minutes is required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
