Responsibilities:As a Packaging Senior Scientist in Research & Development, you will be a part of a team responsible for the technical development of products. You will develop new packaging from concept to launch, using technical leadership to deliver solutions that delight consumers. You will work closely with Product and Process scientists as well as Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and Regulatory.
From the development of prototypes for cost savings initiatives to delivering new and improved packaging for commercialization, you will play a significant role in driving innovation. Additionally, you will own the sustainability roadmap for packaging, driving executional progress against our goals and will be responsible for placing strategic technical bets/recommendations in the areas of new materials, suppliers, and processes. Refine and implement multi-year sustainability plan that meets goalsPackage development lead for projects to ensure technical rigor and deliver against project deliverablesDesign and execute technical testing to converge on and validate package design and performance, including developing new test methods with support when necessaryUse established processes to deliver projects and identifies potential improvementsCreate consumer and customer facing specifications and processing standardsLead risk assessment and mitigation planningApply fundamental technical and packaging knowledgeCollaborate with internal/external experts
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent number of years of relevant industry experienceMinimum 5 years of experience leading the execution of packaging solutions to market, including development from idea to launch on at least several projectsDemonstrated project planning skillsAbility to work independently and implement multiple projects in a timely manner
