Volt is immediately hiring a Repair Tech in Red Wing, MN with a well-known industry leader. In this role you will inspect and repair defective or damaged safety blocks.

This is a first shift position-6am until 2:30 pm, Mon-Friday

As a Repair Tech you will:

Visually examines returned block for damage.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Repairs or replaces defective parts.Lubricates and cleans parts.Support non-conformances (NC’s) with product repairResponsible for ensuring that every effort is taken to maintain a safe and healthy work environmentConduct daily area inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Communicate employee concerns to leadership. Serve as Safety Champions and lead by example.

Estimated Duration 6-12 months

The ideal candidate will have:

H.S. Diploma/GED, or higher• Minimum two (2) years’ experience with blueprints and repair diagrams as an assembly aid• Trained and signed off on the ability to repair 6 block styles; completed OJT forms• Minimum one (1) year experience in Block Repair/Technical Services Repair department

Education:Bachelor’s degree with some experience working in an FDA regulated environment

Pay Rate: $39-40 hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
