Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance Administration:
Oversee maintenance for buildings, residences, grounds, and equipment.Plan, schedule, and manage contractors and maintenance teams involved in construction, operations, and maintenance activities.
Contract Management:
Administer contracts for various facility services, ensuring compliance with Metropolitan standards.Perform quality control inspections to confirm work meets contract specifications.Review and approve contractor invoices, maintaining schedules and coordinating staff.
Event Support:
Provide logistical support for key events held at headquarters, such as board meetings and public agency events.Collaborate with internal and external groups to ensure smooth event execution.
Operational Assessments and Improvement Recommendations:
Regularly assess facility operations and propose cost-efficient improvements.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Relevant Facility Management: At least 6 years with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4 years with a Master’s degree, in facility management, building maintenance, space planning, or customer service within a commercial office setting.Contract Administration: A minimum of 4 years in contract administration within a facility maintenance environment, with experience in compliance, quality control, proposal evaluation, negotiation, and invoice processing.
Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with building codes, construction practices, OSHA standards, and fire/life safety procedures.Competence in data analysis, reporting, and presenting to senior management.
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with six years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with four years of experience. Alternatively, two years in an MWD Analyst classification can be considered.
