Responsibilities: Responsible for improving the performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment.Implementation, improvement and monitoring of Predictive/Preventative (Pd/PM) programsFocal point of implementation, operation, and improvement of the mechanical/reliability programs in accordance with regulatory and RAGAGEP requirements.Provide technical support to maintenance technicians and activities.Manage projects from small to >$1MM.Manage Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography, and other predictive maintenance programsManage critical spare inventoryAssist MRO coordinator in determining appropriate spare inventory requirementsDevelop PM schedules to ensure the correct level of activity is being completed. Monitor and update as necessary.Become Subject Matter Expert for plant fixed and rotating equipmentEngineering based assistance to maintenance and operations for troubleshootingComplete Root Cause Investigations for the evaluation of mechanical failures. Provide technical recommendations for corrective actions, repairs and improvements. Implement and monitor recommended actions.In conjunction with Maintenance and Reliability Manager, review and prepare maintenance work proceduresDevelop continuous improvement plans for improving efficiency, asset reliability and optimization of plant costsMaintain and continually improve the mechanical integrity program to ensure the equipment does not fail in a way that causes or affects the release of chemicals.Identify and coordinate training to plant personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipmentParticipate in site health, environmental, PSM and safety activitiesSuccessful execution of this position means employee safety, reliable equipment, on-time process startups, product quality, customer satisfaction.Improve product reliability and manage critical spare part inventories to reduce production downtime.
Requirements: B.S. in Engineering.Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or reliability engineering. Experience in chemicals, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals or other chemical fields, preferred.Prior experience with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, infrared thermography and other performance testing would be idealKnowledge/experience working with Preventative Maintenance (PM) software packages
Physical Requirements Able to climb stairs and ladders (rope, portable, and fixed ladders).Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Can stand and/or sit for 8-10 hours.Has acute vision, hearing, and smell to detect potential hazards.
