Job Description: Oversee, monitor, approve, and be accountable for daily/weekly/monthly/yearly accounting functions, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, check run, payroll, and others as required, in accordance with legislation, contract terms, and PCL policy and procedures. Review and analyze all accounting/financial adjustments, submissions, and reports and ensure they are completed in a timely manner. Follow up and manage any issues, problems, or discrepancies. Monitor, review, and analyze the accuracy of all monthly forecasting, district/ project recoveries, and various other reconciliations. Provide various ad hoc reports and analysis, then present information to district management as required. Support the manager, Finance and Commercial Risk, in the preparation and management of the planning process. Manage all financial issues and provide summary reports and action plans to manager, Finance and Commercial Risk. Manage and prepare district review and year-end documents. Manage the preparation, accuracy, and timely submission of information for internal financial reporting requirements (e.g., MOR, DRM/year-end, ad hoc reporting) including external financial reporting requirements (e.g., government agencies, taxes). Manage and supervise the district cashflow cycle in accordance with PCL policies and procedures and provide recommendations on improvements as required. Responsible for ensuring that all required documentation, including insurance, bonding, SDI, workers compensation, statutory declarations, and lien waivers is in place and renewed accordingly. Oversee and is accountable for the setup, maintenance, adjustments, and monitoring of all accounting processes and procedures as required. Ensure project setup aligns with contract terms. Manage and oversee the accounting department, responsible for staff career management, and provide support, guidance, and consultation to the district management team as well as provide support to the manager Finance and Commercial Risk, as required. Assist with coordinating and consolidating financial reporting for the district. Responsible for ensuring that payments to trade partners, suppliers, and service providers are made in compliance with contract terms. Responsible for managing internal and external financial audits as applicable. Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues. Supervise, direct, coach, train, and mentor the accounting and payroll employees on a daily basis. Position supervises 4 employees: 1 Assistant Accounting Manager, 2 Staff Accountants, and 1 Accounting Intern. Job position located at various unanticipated locations throughout the United States. Position will report to HQ in Denver, CO.

Job Requirements: Requires a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and 1 year of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and 3 years of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: the full cycle of accounting, including month-end entries such as amortization, accrual, pre-paid, and cost accounting; Recovery Analysis using Oracle PBCS; Microsoft Dynamics AX; Oracle JD Edwards or Oracle Analytics; Managing subcontract payment systems using Oracle Textura; Using Microsoft Power BI, Tally, Showcase Query, and Reports Now to manage cash flow, overhead budgeting, and recovery analysis; and Ensuring all company-required insurance, bonding, State Disability Insurance, worker's compensation, statutory declarations, and lien waiver documentation is active and timely renewed.
